IFPI Shuts Down Stream-Ripping Sites

The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) has successfully shut down prominent stream-ripping site Y2mate.com and 11 other similar websites in Vietnam.

Y2mate.com, one of the world’s most visited stream-ripping sites, had previously been targeted with website blocking measures in 13 countries and featured in multiple editions of the USTR Notorious Markets Report and the EU Counterfeit and Piracy Watchlist.
