Illawarra Hawks head coach Justin Tatum slammed a report about departed import JaQuori McLaughlin, calling it 'false'.
The report, by Code Sports, claimed McLaughlin was a 'cancer' in the locker room, but Tatum denied this.
The report was false, and that young man was nothing but a pleasure for our organisation and in our locker room, on and off the court.
Tatum stated that the Hawks and McLaughlin mutually agreed to part ways on Friday, before the team's 116-89 win over the Brisbane Bullets.
The win marked the Hawks' first of the NBL26 season.
