Alaska Highway Collision in Whitehorse Leaves One Dead

Police are investigating a collision between two passenger vans on the Alaska Highway in Whitehorse that resulted in the death of one driver and injured two others.

The collision was reported to the Whitehorse RCMP at 10:33 p.m. and occurred on the highway between Azure Road and Kathleen Road, near the city's Crestview subdivision. One of the vehicles involved caught fire.

The Whitehorse Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services responded to the collision alongside the RCMP. The driver of one of the vehicles, an adult man, was found dead at the scene.
