Romanian Government Provides Free Space to Ministry Branch

After an investigation by Public Record, a Romanian member center of OCCRP, revealed that a regional branch of the Ministry of Investments and European Projects was paying $17,000 in monthly rent, the government has made a state-owned building available.

The local offices of Romania’s Ministry of Investments and European Projects in Brăila will move to the new location. The Romanian Government published a decision on October 9, stating that it would provide a state-owned building to house the ministry’s southeastern regional headquarters in Brăila.

The offices will now be housed in a government-owned building for free.
