Florida Gov. DeSantis on Insurance Reform
Ron DeSantis stated that insurance reform in Florida has contributed to a 6.5% average rate reduction among the top five auto insurance groups this year.
“As of the end of 2024, auto insurance had been arguably the most inflationary item of any of the baskets of things people look at for how households are being affected by inflation,”
He noted that the insurance market also benefited from faster catastrophe recovery, making Florida one of the few places with declining auto insurance rates.
