Louise Penny’s twentieth Chief Inspector Gamache mystery, The Black Wolf, ranks #2 on the hardcover fiction list. Manga Release
The manga series The Summer Hikaru Died releases its first new volume since the anime adaptation premiered. Eisner-nominated creator Mokumokuren debuts at #6 on the trade paperback list with volume six of this coming-of-age horror series featuring queer themes. Yen Press started English translations in 2023, and Netflix began airing the anime in July.
Cookbooks in Demand
Ree Drummond returns with The Pioneer Woman Cooks: The Essential Recipes, topping the hardcover nonfiction list. Her wide appeal continues after nine cookbooks; her previous collection, The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Dinner’s Ready!, has sold nearly 304,000 print copies since its release two years ago.
