Jetstar will restart international flights from Avalon Airport, launching a new route to Bali in March next year. This marks the first international service from Avalon since early 2020.
“This is a massive step forward for Jetstar at Melbourne Avalon Airport. We’re launching two new routes and adding more seat capacity than ever before,” said Jetstar CEO Stephanie Tully.
She added that these routes offer families and travelers in Victoria more affordable options for holidays and weekend trips. The initiative is expected to generate economic benefits for Melbourne, Geelong, the Surf Coast, and the Bellarine Peninsula.
“I want to thank the Victorian Government, Melbourne Avalon Airport and Adelaide Airport for their support of low fares travel.”
Overall, the expansion will add over 330,000 seats annually at Avalon Airport. According to CEO Ari Suss, this growth will be advantageous for both residents and tourists.
