All-New Toyota Hilux Debuts Globally

Toyota has unveiled the ninth-generation Hilux, introducing an all-electric powertrain option for the first time. Alongside this new electric variant, the Hilux continues to offer the reliable 2.8-litre diesel engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system.

Design and Features Overhaul

The new Hilux has undergone a significant redesign, aligning its look with that of the latest Toyota Land Cruiser SUV. The front features sleek LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights (DRLs) and a bold, closed-off grille displaying prominent "TOYOTA" lettering.

At the rear, the Hilux sports vertically stacked C-shaped LED taillights and an all-black bumper. Additional details include the "TOYOTA" badge on the flatbed gate and high-mounted brake lights above the flatbed handle.

Future Fuel-Cell Version

Toyota also confirmed a hydrogen fuel-cell electric version of the Hilux is planned for release in 2028.
