Detroit held a lead of up to five points in the fourth quarter but trailed 101-100 after a Tyrese Maxey three-pointer with 4:54 remaining. Cunningham then led a critical 9-3 run, highlighted by a powerful dunk over Andre Drummond, drawing a foul and converting the free throw to push Detroit ahead 109-104 with 1:51 left.
