Toyota Motor Corporation has introduced the ninth-generation Hilux at a world premiere event in Bangkok, Thailand. This new model showcases Toyota’s commitment to regional flexibility and carbon-neutral mobility through a multi-pathway approach to powertrains.
Powertrain Options
- A diesel model, set to launch in Japan by mid-2026 and rolling out later in Asia, Europe, and Oceania.
- A battery electric vehicle (BEV) variant featuring a battery mounted under the floor to maximize space and equipped with high-output eAxles on both the front and rear for improved off-road efficiency.
- Plans for a fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) version targeted for Europe and Oceania from 2028.
