North Lincolnshire will pay tribute to the dedication and sacrifice of its armed forces on Remembrance Sunday with a parade and remembrance service held in Scunthorpe on Sunday, 9 November.
The service will commence at 10:45 a.m., featuring an Act of Remembrance, followed by a two-minute silence at 11:00 a.m., and wreath laying.
The parade will then return to The Baths Hall, passing through Vicarage Gardens.
After the service, attendees are invited to The Baths Hall for refreshments and a time of reflection.
Cllr Carol Ross, Mayor of North Lincolnshire, said: “It is a privilege to lead our community in remembering and honouring the immense contribution of our armed forces – those who serve today and those who have served.”
The parade will include serving military personnel, veterans, military organisations, and uniformed groups, demonstrating the community’s unified support and respect.
This annual event highlights the deep gratitude held in North Lincolnshire for the sacrifices made by those in uniform.
