North Lincolnshire Unites to Honour Armed Forces on Remembrance Sunday
North Lincolnshire will pay tribute to the dedication and sacrifice of its armed forces on Remembrance Sunday with a parade and remembrance service held in Scunthorpe on Sunday, 9 November.
Event Details and Schedule
- The parade will gather outside The Baths Hall starting at 10:10 a.m.
- The procession will begin promptly at 10:25 a.m., moving along Doncaster Road to the Cenotaph outside North Lincolnshire Museum.
- Participants can arrive for tea and coffee inside The Baths Hall from 9:30 a.m. or join outside from 10:00 a.m.
Remembrance Service
The service will commence at 10:45 a.m., featuring an Act of Remembrance, followed by a two-minute silence at 11:00 a.m., and wreath laying.
The parade will then return to The Baths Hall, passing through Vicarage Gardens.
Post-Service Gathering
After the service, attendees are invited to The Baths Hall for refreshments and a time of reflection.
Cllr Carol Ross, Mayor of North Lincolnshire, said: “It is a privilege to lead our community in remembering and honouring the immense contribution of our armed forces – those who serve today and those who have served.”
