Belgium Signs F-35 Engine Deal with Safran and Pratt & Whitney
Belgium has signed an agreement with Pratt & Whitney, Safran Aero Boosters, and BMT Aerospace to produce F135 engine components for the F-35 program.
The agreement expands Belgium’s role in the global F-35 industrial network, enabling local production of key engine components.
- Safran Aero Boosters will establish manufacturing capabilities for selected F135 components at its facility in Milmort, near Liège.
- BMT Aerospace will collaborate on developing and producing major engine structures through an “innovative manufacturing concept”.
The agreement, announced on October 13, 2025, during the F-35 delivery ceremony.
