The Golden State Warriors secured a 114-83 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Sunday at Chase Center, but the win was far from impressive.
The Pacers entered the game with a long list of injuries and were playing on the second night of a back-to-back after facing the Denver Nuggets the previous evening. Their only win of the 2025-26 NBA season so far was a narrow victory against a Warriors team seeking revenge.
For much of the game, the Warriors appeared sluggish in front of their home fans, struggling to find momentum through the third quarter and into the start of the fourth. However, they dominated the final period, outscoring the exhausted Pacers 39-18 to secure a convincing win.
“Jimmy Butler was the Warriors’ offense, and he nearly put together a triple-double. Butler was a plus-19 in 30 minutes, scoring 21 points with nine rebounds and seven assists.”
Despite a less-than-flawless display, the Warriors managed to overcome adversity and wear down the depleted Pacers, demonstrating the value of teamwork in the absence of Steph Curry.
