Pakistan defeated Kuwait by 43 runs in the final of the Hong Kong Sixes 2025 cricket tournament held at Mission Road Ground in Mong Kok on Sunday.
Pakistan posted a commanding total of 135 for three in six overs, powered by opener Abdul Samad’s explosive 42 off 13 balls and captain Abbas Afridi’s blazing 52 from 11 deliveries.
Kuwait struggled in reply, managing only 92 runs in 5.1 overs, with Pakistan’s left-arm spinner Maaz Sadaqat taking three wickets to restrict their scoring.
This triumph marked Pakistan’s sixth title win at the Hong Kong Sixes competition.
Kuwait also showed strong performance throughout the tournament, defeating India, Afghanistan, and England to reach the final clash.
India had a tough run, despite winning their opening match against Pakistan by two runs. They then suffered consecutive losses to Kuwait, the UAE, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
