Pakistan secured the Hong Kong Sixes 2025 title after defeating Kuwait by 44 runs at Mission Road Ground, Mong Kok, on Sunday. Their win was driven by outstanding all-round performances from Abdul Samad, Abbas Afridi, and Maaz Sadaqat.
Batting first, Pakistan began strongly as opener Abdul Samad hit a six off the second ball. Khawaja Nafay supported with aggressive batting to accumulate 26 runs in the opening over. Although Kuwait's Meet Bhavsar took Nafay’s wicket at 22, captain Abbas Afridi and Samad revived the innings with powerful hitting.
Kuwait started their chase aggressively, led by Adnan Idrees’ quick 32 runs. However, Pakistan's bowlers responded firmly, restricting Kuwait's momentum.
