Embark Studios is addressing server problems faced by Arc Raiders players over the weekend by awarding compensation. All players who logged in on November 2 will receive 500 Raider Tokens as a gesture of goodwill.

Server Struggles and Player Surge

The official Arc Raiders account on X acknowledged that the servers "had a wobble on Sunday." SteamDB reported a new peak concurrent player count of 354,836 on Steam that day, setting a record for extraction shooters with PvP on the platform.

“We appreciate your patience as our servers had a wobble on Sunday, Scrappy must've pecked a few wires loose, he's been put on the naughty step 🐓 As a token of our thanks, we're sending 500 Raider Tokens to all Raiders who logged in on Sunday.”

Arc Raiders is also available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Epic Games Store, so total player numbers exceed those seen on Steam alone.

Launch Day and Player Demand

The game previously experienced server issues on its launch day, October 30, which is common for multiplayer titles and reflects high demand. Embark’s decision to launch Arc Raiders between Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 highlights their confidence in the game’s appeal.

Future Content Direction

Looking forward, Embark has announced they will not be adding "novelty" skins, focusing instead on maintaining a specific aesthetic style for Arc Raiders.

Author’s summary: Embark Studios compensates Arc Raiders players after server difficulties amid record-breaking player activity, focusing future updates on core game's aesthetics rather than novelty skins.
