Los Angeles — ABC canceled the planned Thursday taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live due to the host’s personal matters. The network rescheduled the show’s guests, replacing the new episode with a repeat broadcast.
The episode had been set to feature David Duchovny, Joe Keery, and musical guest Madison Beer. Beer confirmed the change on social media, explaining that her appearance would be postponed.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, @jimmykimmellive needed to reschedule my performance that was originally scheduled to air tonight to a later date.”
Neither ABC nor Jimmy Kimmel provided additional details about the unexpected cancellation. A member of the audience coordination team later apologized on Reddit and noted that a previously aired episode from October 28 would run instead.
The sudden update prompted speculation among fans, especially following earlier disruptions to the show. In September, production was temporarily halted after Kimmel’s comments about conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s alleged killer drew attention from both Disney and the FCC.
