On November 7, Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces (SSO) reported that their long-range drones targeted an oil depot and logistics facilities in Russian-occupied Crimea. The operation struck near the village of Hvardiiske, about 20 kilometers north of Simferopol, destroying a full RVS-400 tank used for storing oil and petroleum products.
“Special Operations Forces continue to act asymmetrically in countering the enemy's military capabilities,” the SSO stated on Telegram, sharing drone footage of the attacks.
The Russian occupation authorities in Crimea have not responded to these claims. The Kyiv Independent could not independently confirm the details.
The SSO also reported drone strikes on multiple oil depots and fuel storage sites in and around Simferopol. Furthermore, two trains loaded with petroleum products at a loading site were targeted.
During a briefing in Kyiv, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine will begin mass production of the DJI Mavic drone, one of the most widely used drones in the conflict.
Summary: Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces conducted precise drone strikes on key Russian oil and fuel facilities in Crimea, highlighting ongoing asymmetric warfare tactics.
