The Pitt men’s basketball team overcame an early deficit to defeat Youngstown State 74-59 in their 2025-26 season opener Monday night at the Petersen Events Center. This victory marks Pitt's fourth consecutive season-opening win, while Youngstown State fell to 0-1.
Youngstown State led early in the game, but the Panthers claimed their first lead at 20-19 on a three-point play by Cameron Corhen. The Penguins quickly responded with a 6-0 run, yet Pitt intensified their defense and gained control.
