Harvard extended its perfect season to 8-0 after defeating Columbia 31-14 on Friday night. With a 5-0 record in Ivy League play, the Crimson achieved their best start since 2015 and remain unbeaten in conference for the first time since 2016.
After a missed field goal on their opening drive, Columbia (1-7, 0-5 Ivy League) struggled to maintain momentum, ending each following drive with a punt, an interception, or the conclusion of a half.
The Lions finally scored early in the fourth quarter on a touchdown pass from Chase Goodwin to Titus Evans, followed by another late touchdown and successful two-point conversion. However, their attempt at an onside kick fell short, sealing the victory for Harvard.
“Harvard rolled past Columbia 31-14 and has already matched its win totals from each of the last two seasons.”
Harvard dominated Columbia for its eighth straight win, maintaining an undefeated record and showcasing its best football start in a decade.
