The Clemson Tigers men's basketball team started the 2025-26 season with significant changes under coach Brad Brownell. In their opener at Littlejohn Coliseum, Clemson secured an overwhelming 88-38 victory against New Hampshire.
Clemson featured 12 players in the game, with only one returning from last season’s roster—the team with the highest number of transfers under Brownell’s tenure. The Tigers demonstrated strong dominance over New Hampshire, a team that finished 8-24 last year and ranked 355th out of 364 Division I schools in NET rankings.
“We’ve still got to figure everybody out,” Brownell said after the game.
Five transfers debuted for Clemson:
Additionally, former Clemson player RJ Godfrey returned after spending a season at Georgia. Fresh talent also included true freshmen Zac Foster, Chase Thompson, and Trent Steinhour, alongside redshirt freshmen Ace Buckner and Dallas Thomas.
Clemson's 76% new-player roster gained essential on-court experience in a dominant season debut, highlighting a fresh chapter for the Tigers basketball program.
