Anthony Milan Ross, a local TV vegan chef and cookbook author in Arizona, was found guilty of murdering his estranged wife and two children on Christmas Day. The tragedy occurred at Ross’ apartment when his wife, Iris, who had filed for divorce six months prior, arrived to pick up their children.
Ross, 53, was convicted on three counts of first-degree murder by a Maricopa County jury. The victims were Iris, 11-year-old Nigel, and 10-month-old Anora.
Witnesses reported seeing Ross shoot Iris outside the apartment before retreating inside. Authorities arrived around 4 p.m. and discovered Iris’ body on the front patio.
Ross had barricaded himself inside the apartment with the two children, leading to a tense seven-hour standoff.
“On Christmas Eve, Ross laughed and sang Christmas carols as he appeared a happy, loving father alongside Nigel.”
Nearly eight years before the killings, Ross had shared a cheerful caroling video with his son the night before the murders.
