Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship Tee Times
Rory McIlroy, Marco Penge, and Tyrrell Hatton are grouped together for the first two rounds of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, competing for the Harry Vardon Trophy. Northern Irishman McIlroy leads the Race to Dubai Rankings, aiming for his seventh title and fourth consecutive win at the DP World Tour Play-Offs, held at Yas Links.
Despite McIlroy’s lead, both Englishmen, Penge and Hatton, have a chance to surpass him due to the increased points available this week. The trio will start at 09:23 on Thursday.
Other Notable Groups
- The Ryder Cup trio of Shane Lowry, Tommy Fleetwood, and Rasmus Højgaard will tee off at 08:01, expected to draw a large crowd.
- Jacob Skov Olesen, the only Rolex Series rookie, will play alongside Todd Clements and Brandon Robinson Thompson, starting 11 minutes earlier.
- Adrien Saddier, after a strong season with a win at the Italian Open, tees off at 10:28 with Ryder Cup winners Matt Fitzpatrick and Ludvig Åberg.
Historic Presence
Richard Sterne, the only player who competed in the inaugural event in 2006, will take the first tee shot at 07:17 with Rafa Cabrera Bello and Mikael Lindberg.
Closing Groups
The final group featuring Robert MacIntyre, Alex Noren, and Kristoffer Reitan will start at 11:50.
