The White House is preparing to reveal that another nation will soon establish official diplomatic relations with Israel under the Abraham Accords, according to President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff.
"I'm flying back to Washington tonight because we're going to announce, tonight, another country coming into the Abraham Accords," Witkoff said during the America Business Forum in Miami.
The Abraham Accords, initiated during President Trump’s first term, formalized ties between Israel and several Arab nations in 2020. The agreements marked a significant shift in Middle Eastern diplomacy, strengthening cooperation in trade, technology, and regional security.
The accords have deepened Palestinian isolation, undermining the long-standing Arab consensus that recognition of Israel should follow progress in peace negotiations. Many Palestinians view these agreements as a betrayal by fellow Arab countries that previously supported their pursuit of independence and demanded Israeli withdrawal from territories captured after 1948.
President Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff announced that another nation will join the Abraham Accords, further expanding Israel’s diplomatic ties but intensifying Palestinian discontent.
