DP World Tour golfers clarified on entry to LIV's qualifying school in 2026

DP World Tour Golfers Allowed Entry to LIV's 2026 Qualifying School

DP World Tour members will not need to request a tournament release to participate in LIV Golf's qualifying school scheduled for January 2026. A spokesperson confirmed that players may enter as long as there is no scheduling conflict with DP World Tour events.

LIV Golf Qualifying School Details

The qualifying event will take place at Black Diamond Ranch, Florida, over four days and 72 holes. The top two finishers will earn full exemptions to compete in the LIV Golf league in 2026, which is backed by the Public Investment Fund (PIF).

Schedule and Incentives

Previous Promotion Events

LIV Golf has held promotion tournaments since 2022. In 2023, Kalle Samooja, Kieran Vincent, and Jinichiro Kozuma earned entry through these events, while in 2024, only one spot was awarded to Max Lee. LIV Golf will increase the number of qualifying spots back to two for the 2026 tournament.

Additional LIV Golf Opportunities

In addition to the qualifying school exemptions, the top two players in the International Series will receive full-time contracts with LIV Golf.

DP World Tour members "will not be required to apply for a tournament release if they wish to enter, providing there is no tournament clash."

The top two finishes in the qualifying school "will be fully exempt on the PIF-backed league in 2026."

Summary: DP World Tour players have a unique opportunity to enter LIV Golf's 2026 qualifying school without tournament release restrictions, competing for full exemptions and contracts.
