TV personality and comedian Alan Carr continues to attract major broadcasting opportunities. Known for his role in the BBC One show Celebrity Traitors and his ITV sitcom Changing Ends, Carr has reportedly been recruited by the BBC for a new game show format.
According to The Sun, the 49-year-old star recently traveled abroad to film a pilot episode for a prime-time quiz series featuring celebrity contestants. The move marks a new chapter for Carr, coming eight years after his Channel 4 chat show Chatty Man ended.
“Unquestionably, Alan is the hottest man on TV right now. Everyone wants a piece of him. But the BBC have acted quickly and last week he was jetted out to a swanky European city for a day of filming a pilot,” a source told the publication.
This new opportunity reportedly places Carr in direct competition with his Celebrity Traitors co-star Jonathan Ross, who recently renewed his contract with ITV to continue hosting The Jonathan Ross Show.
Alan Carr is set to star in a new BBC celebrity quiz show, signaling a major career shift and friendly rivalry with fellow presenter Jonathan Ross.
