Channing Tatum, known for playing Gambit, is amazed by what has been accomplished in Avengers: Doomsday. With much of the film kept secret, Tatum is working to build excitement for the massive MCU crossover.
“Look, everyone in the world is going to see this movie,” Tatum told Deadline. “It's hard to say this because, I mean, you hear these things and go, 'Of course'. But they've topped themselves every time. This will be the biggest movie of next year and maybe even the next 10 years.”
Tatum’s enthusiasm grew after reading the initial script and witnessing the production. Although he cautiously avoids spoilers, he emphasizes the film’s extraordinary scale and ambition.
“The scope of it, what they're trying to do… what the Russos have cooked up – when I read it, I was just like, 'How are they going to do this?'. It was an Everest of a mountain to climb. I am still in awe,” he said.
Despite a hamstring injury during filming, Tatum confirms his character will not be sidelined in the movie. He hints that Gambit, along with the X-Men, will be actively involved in the action.
“I do so much action in this movie, but that was just a small part,” Tatum recalled, suggesting that the X-Men will have significant roles throughout Avengers: Doomsday.
Summary: Channing Tatum highlights Avengers: Doomsday as an unprecedented MCU event, promising a vast, action-packed film that aims to captivate audiences worldwide for years to come.
