Centerville Residents Express Frustration with City Council

Residents of Centerville, Iowa, are speaking out against what they believe are excessive actions by city administrators, claiming they are exploiting their positions for financial gain.

A meeting was held at Solid Rock Church of God on October 10, where the citizens' action group, We the People of Appanoose County, discussed compiled information, next steps, and answered questions from attendees.

"I can see it more and more with the city council and with the mayor–they don’t care anymore about what we think," said one attendee. "That’s a true fact, and that’s it. In fact, people are taking money–our money–and we see nothing. Nothing."

The city's municipal election is scheduled to take place on November.
