Kazakhstan to Join Abraham Accords

The Government of Kazakhstan has announced its plan to join the Abraham Accords. The declaration came shortly before a scheduled meeting between President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington, D.C.

President Trump described Kazakhstan’s decision as “a major step forward in building bridges across the world.”

He also confirmed on Truth Social that a formal signing ceremony would take place soon to make the accession official. This move makes Kazakhstan the first Central Asian nation—and the only non–Middle Eastern or North African member aside from the United States—to participate in the agreement.

By joining the Abraham Accords, Kazakhstan will partner with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan, Israel, and the United States. The inclusion of Kazakhstan expands the Accord’s influence into Central Asia, emphasizing its broader diplomatic significance.
