Civil engineering firm Jacobs has expressed pride in being involved in the Neom port project, Oxagon, even amid human rights concerns linked to the area. The company was appointed to provide technical and environmental advisory services to DataVolt as part of a $5bn (£3.8bn) broader initiative.
DataVolt is developing a new artificial intelligence (AI) factory campus within Oxagon, Neom’s advanced industrial city. Oxagon is a part of the larger Neom megaproject and is designed to serve as a cutting-edge manufacturing hub and port.
"The campus will run entirely on renewable energy, using advanced cooling systems and energy-efficient architecture to reduce its environmental footprint."
"Designed to operate at net zero, the facility will help meet rising global demand for AI data processing while minimizing carbon emissions."
This effort aims to create a fully sustainable, net-zero data centre ecosystem, supporting global AI data processing needs with a minimal environmental impact.
